DMG does some very deep and familiar stories justice. "Storms Along the Way" is both looking ahead for all and looking back at experience in life through the set of lens of an artist. The title song "Friends are Hard to Come By" is haunting and moving, a look at solid values in relationships and love All songs feel real and the mix of topics is broad. I love the Gospel Song, it is a toe-tapper and his tome to the mother road is one of the best I've heard...post-war American migrations for work and a better life "Chasing the Distance". Two solid instrumentals grace the work. Get this for your collection, file it under "Honesty" and wait for the next one to come...hopefully soon.

David was my first teacher and was instrumental in providing the theory I needed for my own writing. This album is a great illustration of his knowledge of chord structure, writing and bringing out the tone of a guitar. I hope you like it as much as I did. SWS
